Hayfa Charitable Medical Association (HCMA) is a leading Palestinian non-profit, non-governmental organization involved in medical services development and health awareness. HCMA provides advice, awareness support, services, and special consultancies for medical issues. HCMA relies on the broad and efficient participation of its beneficiaries (patients). Moreover, it depends on developing the qualifications of its staff to better benefit and develop Palestinian medical services.
HCMA founded in 2003, in response to face the big demand on the medical services in Gaza strip. From the other side the low income and standard of living of the citizens, as well as the increase of the population and high prices of medicines caused a deep pressure on the official and governmental institutions, which leads to the establishment of HCMA.
HCMCA locates in a unique location at the heart of Al Tufah area. The center locates in the middle of five areas: (Al Shejaeya, Al Tufah, Al Daraj, Al Sha'af and Jabalya), where these areas are characterized by overcrowding -350,000 population- and low income level as a result of the difficult economic situations. Association's Services are not limited to health sector, but also the management of it established an upper floor for the health education and human development, which includes courses of first aid and many courses related to the society needs.
The hospital specializes mainly in
endoscopy and lithotripsy but also it’s introduce many medical services through 22 specialized
outpatient clinics , specialized dermatology section equipped with the laser
devices , dental section, optics section,
diagnostic section such as laboratory, radiology and ultrasound and finally
surgeries section which includes two surgical rooms and offers various medical surgical services like
general surgery, pediatric surgery, orthopedics, ear, nose and throat surgery
and urology surgery.
